ISOBUNE SUSHI is the ORIGINAL sushi boat restaurant. After being patented in 1982, this unique Sushi Delivering System soon opened in San Francisco's Japan Center as the first sushi boat restaurant not only in the Bay Area, but in the United States. Shortly after its initial success, a second Isobune Sushi was created in 1983 on the Peninsula in Burlingame, only this time adding an extended menu of traditional Japanese hot cuisine. In 1995 a third Isobune Sushi on College Avenue on the Berkeley/Oakland border was created and was immediately embraced by our customers living and working in the East Bay. Here too our customers can enjoy an extended hot food menu as well as knowing they are getting the very best sushi at the greatest value.
